Located on the first floor of the Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake, opposite Giang Vo Lake, the F29 Restaurant serves Hanoi's first gold-plated egg coffee. The drink is presented in a white porcelain cup with gold plating around the rim and handle. The saucer and coffee spoon are also rimmed or plated with 24k gold. In addition to egg coffee, the restaurant also serves gold-plated salt coffee at the same price of 150,000 VND per cup.

Bartender Ta Phuong Anh explained that the beverage is a blend of three types of coffee, creating a flavor that complements the rich aroma of the egg. After brewing the coffee with boiling water for 30 to 45 minutes, the drink is whisked with egg yolks for 10 to 15 minutes to create a smooth, creamy texture. Small gold flakes are sprinkled onto the foam before serving.
The drink isn't pre-made, so customers usually have a short wait. Because the coffee contains egg, Phuong Anh recommends enjoying it within two to three minutes of preparation while it's still hot. The gold used is edible, ensuring hygiene and safety for customers.

Hoang Quoc Viet, the restaurant's manager, said the restaurant opened in 2021, and gold-plated egg coffee was one of the first items on the menu. Along with gold-plated beef, it has become one of the restaurant's signature dishes and bestsellers. Most customers order it. "8 out of 10 people order the gold-plated egg coffee," Viet said.
According to Viet, the restaurant attracts not only foreigners but also people from southern Vietnam and neighboring provinces. Thuy Linh, a customer trying the gold-plated egg coffee, said it was the most delicious and visually appealing egg coffee she had ever tasted. "The drink has the richness of egg, the slight bitterness of coffee, and the touch of luxury from the gold," Linh said.
Devansh, a 34-year-old from India, having tried both Giang egg coffee and the gold-plated version, said it was his favorite drink during his two months in Hanoi.

Egg coffee is a Hanoi culinary staple, dating back to the 1940s. It combines egg yolks, condensed milk, sugar, and butter, all whisked until fluffy and then enjoyed with hot coffee. Customers are given a small spoon to taste the foam before drinking the coffee. Cafe Giang is renowned as the birthplace of this unique beverage.
The gold-plated egg coffee is inspired by the famous "Giang egg coffee," popular with both domestic and international tourists. The addition of gold adds a special touch and reflects the spirit of the hotel, recognized by Worldkings (World Records Union) in 2020 as having "the most gold-plated details in the world" with over 400,000 details.
