According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, in the first 5 months of 2025, the province welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists, an increase of 19.3% compared to the same period last year. Of these, international tourists accounted for more than 2.23 million, an increase of nearly 11.4%. Total tourism revenue reached nearly 23,652 billion VND, an increase of 18.2% over the same period.

South Korean tourists led the way with over 1 million arrivals, a 4.1% increase. Chinese tourists maintained steady growth with 298,000 arrivals. Emerging markets like India also recorded over 100,000 visitors, a significant increase compared to last year.
The reopening of direct flights from Russia to Cam Ranh has also boosted the market from Russia and Kazakhstan. Specifically, the number of tourists from these two countries and other Southeast Asian nations reached over 170,000, an increase of nearly 200% compared to the same period last year. Besides these 4 markets, Western Europe, North America, and Australia also contributed to the diversification of international tourists to the coastal city.

These are positive signs for Nha Trang's tourism potential during the summer, the ideal time to explore this coastal city. From May to August, Nha Trang enjoys mild sunshine, calm seas, and average temperatures of 26-29 degrees Celsius – perfect for diving, kayaking, and island excursions. For sports tourism enthusiasts, Nha Trang will host the VnExpress Marathon on 24/8. The event will gather over 11,000 domestic and international athletes, with distances ranging from 5km to 42km, taking place along the scenic coastal route across Tran Phu Bridge, Tram Huong Tower, and Luong Son Pass.
In recent years, the "race-cation" trend has been gaining popularity in Vietnam. Summer races have consistently reached record numbers of athletes: VM Quy Nhon reached 12,000 athletes, VM Da Nang reached 9,000 registrations during the super early bird ticket phase, and Nha Trang is expecting 13,000 athletes.
This year marks the third edition of VM Nha Trang, the final leg in the series of beach-combined races. The race will take place on 24/8, continuing to be held at 2/4 Square in the city center.
