Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches route to Singapore

Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate the Phu Quoc - Singapore route daily starting 25/7, with tickets available from 20/5.

During the ticket launch, the airline offers fares from 1,793 million VND one-way for flights departing in the first month of operation. Passengers flying the Singapore - Phu Quoc route also receive a 20% discount on basic fares from 20/5 to 19/6.

Beyond air tickets, passengers receive complimentary Sun World Hon Thom cable car tickets and up to a 30% discount on accommodation, dining, spa, and entertainment services within the Sun Group ecosystem in the South of Phu Quoc island.

According to a representative, the route creates an opportunity to attract high-quality international visitors to Phu Quoc.

A Sun PhuQuoc Airways representative stated that Singapore is a key market for the airline's international network expansion strategy, aiming to increase options for mid-to-high-end tourists.

With a flight time under two hours and a visa-exemption policy for international visitors, Phu Quoc is becoming a suitable short-stay destination for Singaporean tourists and the expat community living there. Data from Skyscanner shows that searches for Phu Quoc from Singaporean users increased by 184% compared to the same period last year, positioning the Pearl Island as the second trending destination this year.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways implements a full-service model on all flights, including hot meals, standard checked baggage, and a modern wireless in-flight entertainment system (IFE). The Business Class cabin, with its private space, comfortable seating, and priority privileges, will cater to the needs of business travelers and high-end tourists from Singapore.

A representative noted that the route's advantage lies not only in direct connectivity between the two destinations but also in its ability to tap into a large international customer base via Changi Airport – a major regional aviation hub with approximately 70 million passengers annually.

Sun Group currently participates in operating Phu Quoc International Airport and collaborates with Changi Airports International (CAI), the management entity for Changi Airport. The representative expects that the consistent service standards from Changi Airport, to Sun PhuQuoc Airways' full-service flights, Phu Quoc International Airport, and Sun Group's five-star resort ecosystem, will offer travelers a seamless, international-standard journey.

According to a representative, the on-schedule expansion of its flight network demonstrates Sun PhuQuoc Airways' robust operational capabilities and long-term vision in its "Rise to Asia" strategy, gradually elevating Phu Quoc to a new gateway for trade and tourism in the region.
