The first waterfall, named So Roach by locals, is situated in Kon Plong village, Kon Plong commune, 7-8 km from the commune center. It falls under the management of Kon Plong Forestry Company Limited. The waterfall is about 15-17 meters high and flows into a lake with a circumference of over 100 square meters.
The second waterfall, named Ho Kook, lies within the management area of Thach Nham Protection Forest Management Board, 15-17 km from the commune center. This 50-meter waterfall is nestled amidst a primeval forest. Notably, about 500-700 meters upstream from the main waterfall, the survey team encountered a secondary waterfall approximately 20 meters high.

According to Toan, both waterfalls hold potential for development into ecological tourism destinations, offering experiences in nature and exploration of the local culture. "The commune authorities are developing a specific plan to effectively plan, preserve, and utilize these locations in the future, ensuring tourism development is linked with environmental protection," Toan said.

Kon Plong commune is one of 96 communes in the newly established Quang Ngai province, formed from three former communes: Ngok Tem, Hieu, and Po E. It borders Son Tay commune (formerly in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai province).
The commune is near Mang Den, a tourism hub of the former Kon Tum province. Mang Den is also home to the renowned Pa Sy waterfall, which attracts thousands of visitors annually. Pa Sy waterfall plunges from a height of over 40 meters amidst a primeval forest.
The discovery of these two waterfalls creates a cluster of three waterfalls, contributing to economic and social development, creating sustainable livelihoods for local residents, and promoting tourism in the area," said a Kon Plong commune leader.
