Jo'Majze Larry, 15, a member of the Mickey Cobra Nation (MCN) gang, has been sentenced to 100 years in prison in Indiana for his role in a fatal shooting that targeted a witness and resulted in the death of an innocent woman. The sentencing took place on 30/7 in the Madison County Circuit Court, presided over by Judge David Happe.
Larry was one of four MCN members indicted for murder following a shooting outside a nightclub in Anderson in 2/2025. Prosecutors revealed the group opened fire with the intent to eliminate a witness from a prior murder case. This witness had observed the 2023 murder of 15-year-old Jullian Craig. After Craig's death, Larry and his accomplice, Rashawn Samuels, 19, conspired with other MCN gang members to plan the witness elimination.
However, during the shooting outside the Anderson nightclub, Dayla Swain, 26, an unintended target, was fatally struck by a bullet. Another individual sustained a gunshot wound, and a third woman was injured after being struck by a car while attempting to flee the scene.

Larry and Samuels were tried jointly and found guilty by a jury on 30/6, as confirmed by the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office. Both defendants admitted to the aggravating circumstance of involvement in organized crime. At the 30/7 hearing, Judge Happe sentenced Larry to 50 years for Swain's murder, with an additional 50 years for gang-related aggravating circumstances. Samuels received 62 and a half years for murder and an additional 62 and a half years for organized crime-related aggravating circumstances.
Prosecutors underscored the danger of such groups, stating: "Criminal organizations pose a greater threat to public safety because they coordinate criminal activities, recruit others to participate, and often commit crimes for financial gain or to serve the organization's objectives." Another defendant, Kyree Craver, 19, was convicted of Swain's murder in a separate trial earlier this year and sentenced to 90 years by Judge Happe on 9/7. The fourth defendant is slated for trial later this year.

Given that Larry was under 18 at the time of the offense, Indiana state law grants him the right to request a court review of his sentence after serving at least 20 years, without requiring the prosecutor's consent.
