On 27/9, a video depicting crocodiles swimming in the Phra Sathung canal, Khao Chakan sub-district, Sa Kaeo province, garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media.

Authorities confirmed that four crocodiles escaped from a farm on the evening of 26/9, caused by heavy rains and subsequent flooding. Officials and volunteers initially killed two crocodiles and then began a boat search for the remaining two. By 22:30 on 27/9, they located and shot the last two, ensuring the safety of local residents.

In Prachinburi province, the Department of Fisheries, supported by Ruam Katanyu rescue volunteers and local residents, relocated Chao Nuea Thong. This 27-year-old crocodile, weighing 400 kg and measuring 4 meters long, was moved from a pond at Wat Pho Thong temple in Si Maha Pho district due to rising floodwaters.

Teams used ropes to secure the crocodile's jaws and legs before carefully moving it to the road. A truck-mounted crane then lifted the animal onto a transport vehicle.

This relocation reassured the abbot and villagers, who feared Chao Nuea Thong could escape into the Prachinburi river if pond waters rose further, posing a danger to the community.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported that as of 27/9, floods affected 25 provinces across Thailand. Additionally, the Ministry of Defense deployed over 10,000 soldiers nationwide to assist with flood relief operations.
