Before the World Cup in the US, Spain national team left-back Marc Cucurella promised to get a tattoo of head coach Luis de la Fuente if the team won the title.

Following Spain's 1-0 victory over Argentina on 19/7, he immediately took to social media to search for a tattoo artist.

"Are there any tattoo artists here?" Cucurella wrote.

When questioned about his promise during the post-match press conference, Cucurella admitted he was still deciding on the tattoo's placement. "I still don't know. I have to think about where I'm going to get it," he stated in the flash interview zone.

"People will frequently ask me about the tattoo's location, so I believe it needs to be in a visible spot. We still have a long journey ahead, and I hope everyone will offer suggestions. I'll consider them and then definitely fulfill my promise," he added.

Coach De la Fuente, who guided the Spain national team to both the Euro 2024 and World Cup titles, also weighed in on the topic during the press conference.

"I'm too old to get a tattoo," he laughed when asked if he would get one.

"My players are true to their word, and I know they will honor their commitment. They made a promise, and they will have to take responsibility," the 65-year-old coach stated. "However, I don't look so bad that they need to hide my image somewhere it can't be seen."
