General Secretary and President To Lam urges Vietnamese intellectuals in Russia to spearhead science and technology collaboration

General Secretary and President To Lam hopes Vietnamese scientists, experts, and intellectuals in Russia will be a pioneering force in connecting knowledge, science, technology, and new cooperation initiatives.

On the evening of 7/9, General Secretary and President To Lam, along with his spouse, met with embassy staff and the Vietnamese community in Russia. He affirmed that the Party and State consistently prioritize the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Vietnamese, fostering conditions for them to strengthen ties with their homeland.

The General Secretary and President stated that in the future, the Party and State will enhance comprehensive, open, and innovative policies to connect, attract, and effectively utilize the resources of overseas Vietnamese, particularly intellectuals, experts, entrepreneurs, scientists, and the younger generation.

General Secretary and President To Lam urged Vietnamese scientists, experts, and intellectuals in Russia to continue demonstrating creativity, resilience, and responsibility, acting as a pioneering force to connect knowledge, science, technology, and new cooperation initiatives.

Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Russia are expected to remain key drivers of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, linking businesses from both nations and expanding new areas of collaboration that align with the development potential and needs of Vietnam and Russia.

Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese People in Russia, noted that the community understands every action contributes to shaping Vietnam's image.

Therefore, Vietnamese in Russia encourage each other to respect local culture, customs, and social life, contributing to the host community. They also preserve Vietnamese language, culture, and traditions, building a united community that is open, integrated yet not assimilated, and where success is matched with responsibility.

On the same day, General Secretary and President To Lam met with Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia. He stated that Vietnam aims to complete the Museum of the Communist Party of Vietnam by 2030, marking the 100th anniversary of the Party's establishment.

The General Secretary and President expressed hope for Russia's continued support in accessing archival materials related to Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, connections with the Communist International, Soviet Union support during Vietnam's resistance against America and the socialist construction period in Vietnam, and documents on Vietnam-Russia cooperation from 1991 to the present, currently held in Russian museums and archives.
