A news helicopter crashed in Los Angeles on 15/9, killing at least three people and injuring one. The incident occurred in the San Fernando Valley, near the 9100 block of N.Mason Avenue, while the helicopter was reportedly live-filming a bus accident.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the helicopter crashed between two commercial buildings, striking two containers and several parked vehicles. The impact caused a large fire at the scene.

After extinguishing the flames, firefighters and Los Angeles police covered the victims' bodies. Captain Branden Silverman of the LAFD confirmed one victim was found outside the helicopter and died at the scene. He added, "We cannot confirm exactly how many people were inside the helicopter."

LAFD officials later reported that a fourth victim was transported to a local hospital in an unspecified condition. Authorities have not yet disclosed the news station that owned the helicopter, though many news outlets identified it as an NBC Los Angeles aircraft. Silverman noted the helicopter was "almost completely destroyed," stating, "we will have to search through the wreckage to determine the number of victims on board and identify the helicopter."

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been contacted to assist with the ongoing investigation. Los Angeles police are also investigating the accident.
