A domestic dispute escalated into a deadly stabbing rampage in Tacoma, Washington, on the morning of 24/2, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, including the assailant. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office initially responded to a call regarding a 32-year-old man violating a no-contact order at a home in the city's northwest.
Upon realizing the no-contact order had not been formally served to the suspect, officers were en route to the scene to deliver it. However, while in transit, they received an updated report that the man was actively attacking people with a knife outside the residence. The first officer arrived within three minutes of the updated call and shot the suspect, who died at the scene.
Tragically, three of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the location of the attack, while a fourth person passed away en route to the hospital. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or the suspect, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact relationship between the assailant and those he attacked.

Media reports indicate that a woman and her son were registered residents at the involved property. In 5/2025, a county commissioner had issued an order for the son to leave the home and cease all contact with his mother for a period of one year.
The assailant was reportedly suffering from a mental disorder. He had previously made disturbing statements to his mother, including that "her grave was already dug". Due to his history, he was prohibited from possessing weapons and was mandated to follow a treatment regimen, which included medication, from a medical center in Tacoma.
The protection order against the son was put in place after his mother filed two petitions in Pierce County. These filings detailed a series of alarming behaviors, notably an incident where the son injured his mother's cat and proclaimed himself an "Egyptian god".
