The regional branch of the Russian Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case regarding safety violations leading to death, after a 60-year-old man died from snow falling from the roof of a two-story apartment building.
"Once again, I urge everyone to be aware of the large snowdrifts that have formed on roofs during the storm. Temperatures have risen, so snow is starting to fall from roofs", stated Sergey Lebedev, head of Kamchatka's emergency services.
