Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, announced on 23/4 that units under his command, in coordination with the Azov Brigade, carried out eight precision strikes on a location identified as a command post of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) in Donetsk province.
The strikes utilized FP-2 medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), capable of carrying 60-100 kg warheads. The accompanying video shows a series of UAVs crashing into a multi-story building, causing large explosions and scattering debris across the surrounding area.
Brovdi stated that the attack destroyed the target, killing 12 officers and wounding 15 others. He added that the facility's mission included: carrying out sabotage, establishing intelligence networks, recruitment, conducting attacks, arson, and coordinating proxy forces.
Russian officials have not yet commented on the information.
Ukraine frequently targets locations in Russian-controlled areas, as well as industrial and oil facilities which Kyiv believes support Moscow's military operations. According to Ukrainian officials, the goal of these attacks is to disrupt logistics, weaken air defense capabilities, and reduce supplies for Russian soldiers.
Russia is reportedly facing challenges on the battlefield recently. An analysis by AFP news agency, based on data from the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), indicates that Russian forces made almost no territorial gains in March, the first time in over two years.
The analysis shows that Russian forces gained only 23 square kilometers of territory and lost ground in some areas. This figure does not account for infiltrations beyond the front lines or advances claimed by Russia. This is considered Moscow's smallest advance since 9/2023.

The pace of Russia's military advances has slowed since late 2025, due to localized Ukrainian breakthroughs in the southeast. Moscow also lost territory in the area between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk provinces.
ISW believes that alongside Ukrainian counter-offensive efforts, Russian forces being blocked from using Starlink transceivers and having restricted access to the Telegram social network are also contributing factors to this situation.
