Lenta, a Russian news outlet, reported an explosion occurred early this morning at Mosfilm Tower, a skyscraper on Mosfilmovskaya Street in Moscow. This complex comprises two residential towers, measuring 213 m and 131 m tall, which were completed in 12/2011. Images from the scene show damage to the upper section of one building, believed to be the 213 m tower within the Mosfilm Tower complex. Debris was scattered across the street below, and emergency responders were deployed to the site.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed that a Ukrainian UAV hit a building near Mosfilmovskaya Street, though he did not specify the exact location. He added that no one was injured in the incident. Sobyanin later announced that air defense forces shot down two additional UAVs launched towards Moscow. Neither the Russian Ministry of Defense nor the Ukrainian military has commented on the incident.
The Kyiv Independent reported that this strike represents Ukraine's deepest attack into Moscow's central residential area. The location is approximately 3 km from the Russian Ministry of Defense headquarters and nearly 7 km from Red Square. Mosfilm Tower is situated in an upscale residential district, close to embassies and diplomatic residences.
Ukraine has repeatedly carried out UAV attacks targeting Moscow. However, the Russian capital has rarely sustained damage to civilian infrastructure, largely due to its robust air defense capabilities against aerial threats, despite an increase in Ukrainian strikes over the past few months.

This attack occurred just days before Russia is scheduled to hold its Victory Day Parade on Red Square. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that this year's event would not feature mechanized columns, unlike previous years, citing "operational circumstances."
