US embassies across the Middle East simultaneously issued an advisory on 1/8, warning citizens of a complex security environment due to rising tensions and the risk of unforeseen escalation.
"US citizens in the region should consider leaving, or be prepared to leave if escalation occurs," the US government stated.

US citizens in the Middle East are urged to exercise caution, heighten their vigilance, and prepare for potential flight cancellations, sudden airspace closures, and disruptions to travel.
For those outside the region, Washington advises "seriously reconsidering" travel plans to or through the Middle East. Travelers who still decide to proceed should closely monitor information from airports and airlines.
US diplomatic missions describe the Middle East situation as rapidly changing, characterizing Tehran as "unpredictable". Iranian forces recently conducted several unannounced attacks, expanding their range to previously untargeted locations, including Egypt.
The US warns that its diplomatic facilities, even outside the Middle East, could be targeted. The US Embassy in Amman, Jordan, advises citizens to avoid military bases there. Washington believes Iran and its allies could target US interests, locations, and citizens worldwide, including businesses and civilian organizations.

President Donald Trump announced on 31/7 at a cabinet meeting at Camp David that the US was preparing to deliver a powerful blow to Iran, one that would continue until the country "cannot take it anymore". US officials revealed Trump had ordered preparations for a new offensive to force Tehran's surrender, potentially to be deployed as early as this weekend.
On the same day, Kuwait announced it had intercepted Iranian drones targeting a government facility and civilian vehicles. Additionally, an oil tanker off Oman, near the Strait of Hormuz, was attacked.
