Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today that Vietnam is deeply concerned about the escalating conflict in the Middle East. This situation severely threatens civilian lives and safety, along with regional and global peace and stability.
The country urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, immediately halt escalating actions, protect civilians and critical infrastructure, and resolve differences through peaceful means.

Ms. Hang further stated that Vietnam hopes all parties will strictly adhere to international law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant resolutions. This includes respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and facilitating peace negotiations to ensure security, safety, peace, and stability globally.
Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran report that Vietnamese citizens in those countries are currently safe. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Vietnamese citizens against non-essential travel to Iran and Israel at this time, and to avoid nearby conflict-affected areas.
Vietnamese citizens already in Iran, Israel, and surrounding conflict zones should maintain contact with Vietnamese representative agencies in both countries. They must also regularly monitor updates, strictly comply with local travel regulations, and adhere to warnings issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
