On 3/8, Kawasaki's Vietnamese distributor introduced the newest version of the Z900. The bike, imported from Thailand, is priced at 299 million VND for the Metallic Flat Spark Black version.
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 maintains the aggressive and sporty Sugomi design philosophy, inspired by predatory animals. Kawasaki redesigned the LED headlight and added a front cowl to enhance the Z900's aggressive appearance.

The signature exposed mechanical aesthetic of Kawasaki's Z series naked bikes continues in the new Z900. The design showcases the 4-cylinder engine, trellis frame, and copper-plated exhaust headers.
Kawasaki states that the new Z900's frame incorporates reinforced materials for increased rigidity. The seat support has been refined for a flatter profile, and the seat cushion is thicker. The seat height remains unchanged.
At the rear, the redesigned taillight is wider but slimmer and more angular than its predecessor. The Kawasaki Z900 features familiar equipment such as inverted front forks, dual 300 mm front disc brakes with 4-piston calipers, and dual-channel ABS. The rear features a horizontal back-link monoshock and a single 250 mm disc brake.
The new Z900 boasts a 5-inch TFT display (up from 4.3 inches), smartphone connectivity, and navigation. Cruise control is a first for this model.
Kawasaki retains the 948cc liquid-cooled 4-cylinder engine, producing 124 horsepower and 97.4 Nm of torque.
Kawasaki claims the refined electronic throttle valve improves fuel efficiency by 16% compared to the previous model. A 6-axis IMU and enhanced lean-sensitive ABS have also been added.
Other features on the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 include a slipper clutch, three-mode traction control (with an off option), a quick shifter, two power modes (Low – 75% and Full – maximum), and four riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (Manual).
In Vietnam, the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 competes directly with the Yamaha MT-09, also priced at 299 million VND. Honda currently doesn't offer a model in this segment. With Ducati and KTM no longer selling bikes in Vietnam, options like the Monster 937 or 890 Duke R are unavailable.
