On 22/9, Mitsubishi launched the new upgraded Xpander AT Premium and Xpander Cross in the Vietnamese market. Along with design, technology, and safety enhancements, the Xpander AT Premium's price has also seen a modest increase of one million VND, bringing it to 659 million VND.

The 2025 Xpander features a redesigned exterior, boasting a more aggressive grille and front/rear bumpers.

The redesigned daytime running lights are sharper. The LED headlights are positioned lower, featuring the signature T-Shape design.

The Japanese automaker has incorporated a seamless sporty trim around the vehicle.

The Xpander's dimensions are 4,595 mm long, 1,750 mm wide, and 1,750 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Its 225 mm ground clearance is the highest in its segment.

The 2025 Xpander's grille has been redesigned with slender vertical bars, replacing the previous crisscross mesh design.

Inside the cabin, Mitsubishi has upgraded the steering wheel, instrument cluster, and infotainment screen, while the overall design remains unchanged.

The vehicle is equipped with LED taillights and a redesigned, more aggressive rear bumper.

The 2025 Xpander features a 1.5L MIVEC engine producing 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. It uses a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

According to the manufacturer, the 2025 Xpander AT Premium has a fuel consumption of 6.99 liters/100 km in combined driving conditions.

The 2025 Xpander is fitted with a new 3-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated controls.

The new instrument cluster in the 2025 Xpander boasts an 8-inch digital display, providing comprehensive vehicle information, replacing the previous analog display with a 4.2-inch LCD screen.

The infotainment system now features a new 9-inch touchscreen, an upgrade from the previous 8-inch version. The system also supports wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new rear bumper protector is more robust.

In Vietnam, the Xpander is known as the "king of the budget MPV segment" with superior sales figures compared to its competitors. In the first half of 2025, Xpander sold 8,187 units, more than double the sales of the second-place Toyota Veloz, which sold 3,149 units.

The 2025 Xpander AT Premium comes with black leather seats and contrasting stitching, similar to the previous model.

Mitsubishi's budget MPV has a 7-seat configuration. The third-row seats can be folded down to increase cargo space. The third-row seating is suitable for Asian physiques.

The 2025 Xpander AT Premium adds new safety features, including 6 airbags and the Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, which was already available on the Cross version upgraded in 2023.

Other features remain the same as the previous version, including ABS/EBD/BA brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill-start assist.
