On 22/9, Mitsubishi launched the new upgraded Xpander AT Premium and Xpander Cross in the Vietnamese market. Along with design, technology, and safety enhancements, the Xpander AT Premium's price has also seen a modest increase of one million VND, bringing it to 659 million VND.
The 2025 Xpander features a redesigned exterior, boasting a more aggressive grille and front/rear bumpers.

The Xpander's dimensions are 4,595 mm long, 1,750 mm wide, and 1,750 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Its 225 mm ground clearance is the highest in its segment.

The 2025 Xpander features a 1.5L MIVEC engine producing 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. It uses a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
According to the manufacturer, the 2025 Xpander AT Premium has a fuel consumption of 6.99 liters/100 km in combined driving conditions.

In Vietnam, the Xpander is known as the "king of the budget MPV segment" with superior sales figures compared to its competitors. In the first half of 2025, Xpander sold 8,187 units, more than double the sales of the second-place Toyota Veloz, which sold 3,149 units.

Mitsubishi's budget MPV has a 7-seat configuration. The third-row seats can be folded down to increase cargo space. The third-row seating is suitable for Asian physiques.
The 2025 Xpander AT Premium adds new safety features, including 6 airbags and the Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, which was already available on the Cross version upgraded in 2023.
Other features remain the same as the previous version, including ABS/EBD/BA brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill-start assist.
