The incident unfolded in central Minsk on 11/11, captured by a surveillance camera along Nezavisimosti Avenue. A BMW collided with a vehicle stopped ahead. The driver of the luxury sedan failed to stop, instead activating hazard lights to reverse, then mounted the curb and proceeded directly through the intersection.
Subsequent footage revealed the luxury sedan accelerating rapidly, sending a black car onto the sidewalk before veering directly into a line of oncoming vehicles that were stopped.
A preliminary investigation determined that the 45-year-old BMW driver was responsible for collisions involving eight other vehicles. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although the damaged cars sustained varying degrees of harm. The reason behind the BMW driver's actions remains unclear.
