On 4/6, BYD Vietnam introduced the Atto 2, a B-segment all-electric crossover, to the Vietnamese market. The vehicle offers a 380 km range on a single charge, a 174-horsepower front-wheel-drive motor, and is priced at 669 million VND. This is the company's fourth high-riding model following the Atto 3, Sealion 6, and Sealion 8.
Known as the Yuan Up in China, the Atto 2 features BYD's signature Dragon Face design language, but with a more youthful appeal. Its dimensions are 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. This makes it smaller than the Atto 3 but slightly larger than the Dolphin, which launched last year.

The Atto 2 is powered by a 174-horsepower front-wheel-drive motor generating 290 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. It utilizes BYD's blade battery with a capacity of 45.12 kWh, providing a 380 km range per charge (NEDC standard). The vehicle supports DC fast charging up to 65 kW, charging from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes, and also supports AC charging for household outlets.
The Atto 2 is equipped with both active and passive safety technologies, including six airbags, whiplash-reducing headrests, and an ADAS suite. This suite includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist and warning, blind spot monitoring, hill descent control, hill start assist, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and electronic stability control.
Imported from China, the Atto 2 is priced at 669 million VND. Its main competitor in Vietnam is the VF 6, priced at 689 million VND (including the battery). Most popular gasoline-powered B-segment SUVs in Vietnam have a top price exceeding 700 million VND.
