BYD dealerships are currently accepting deposits for the Atto 2, imported from China. This is the brand's 4th SUV, following the Atto 3, Sealion 6, and Sealion 8.
Also known as the Yuan Up in its home market, the BYD Atto 2 measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. This places the Atto 2 in the B-segment CUV category, alongside gasoline-powered models like the Toyota Yaris Cross and Mitsubishi Xforce, and the all-electric VinFast VF 6.

The Atto 2 resembles a smaller version of the Atto 3, a B+ segment all-electric CUV. The BYD design features smooth lines, and the Atto 2 adds a sporty touch with panels on the front and side bumpers.
The interior layout closely mirrors the Atto 3. The car features a large 12.8-inch central screen that can rotate 90 degrees, controlling most of the vehicle's functions. Standard features include automatic climate control and leather seats.
Two battery options are available for the Atto 2. The 32 kWh battery provides a range of 301 km (CLTC standard), while the 45.12 kWh battery offers a 401 km range.
Dealerships report the BYD Atto 2 is equipped with a 174-horsepower front-wheel-drive motor, generating 290 Nm of torque.
The VinFast VF 6 starts at 689 million VND (including the battery), while the most popular gasoline-powered competitors are mostly priced above 700 million VND.
In addition to the BYD Atto 2, the B-segment CUV segment will soon welcome the locally assembled Skoda Kushaq. The Skoda model launches on 28/6, while the Atto 2 is expected in early July.
