Total c-segment sedan sales in october reached 547 units, an increase of 14,4% compared to september (478 units). This figure, however, remains low compared to the same period last year, when sales exceeded 1,000 units. Most vehicles in the segment experienced sales growth last month.
Mazda3 continued to be the segment's best-selling model with 292 units, a strong increase from 246 units in september. This marks the highest sales level for this model in 2025, contributing significantly to the segment's overall growth momentum. Kia K3 sold 96 units, a slight decrease from the previous month. Despite still ranking second in cumulative sales for the first 10 months of this year, this model's sales have shown a stagnant trend in recent months.
Honda Civic maintained stable sales with 69 units, nearly similar to september, ranking third in cumulative sales for the first 10 months of 2025. In the lower tier, Hyundai Elantra achieved 61 units, a slight increase from 44 units in september. Toyota Corolla Altis remained at the bottom with 29 units. Despite an increase from 17 units the previous month, it continues to be the lowest-selling model in the segment for many consecutive months.
Although october sales improved compared to september, the 547 units are still significantly lower than late last year, when the c-segment sedan segment achieved over 1,000 units per month. The ongoing shift towards urban SUVs and electric vehicles continues to be a primary factor eroding this segment. Without new products or robust demand-stimulating policies, c-segment sedans could end 2025 with their lowest sales since 2022.

Beyond general market factors, buyer waiting sentiment also contributed to the c-segment sedan's cooling demand. Many customers expect manufacturers to release updated versions or offer deeper discounts towards the end of the year, when more demand-stimulating programs are available. However, unlike the SUV and b-segment car segments, which frequently see new versions, c-segment sedans have seen virtually no significant updated models in recent years, leading to a decline in appeal.
