Early on the morning of 15/8, at an intersection in Sofia, a bus stopped at a red light behind two cars. Suddenly, a car sped from the opposite direction, crossed several lanes, jumped the median, and crashed directly into the bus.
The high-speed impact caused the car to pierce through the bus, lodging itself inside. The accident killed one bus passenger. Six others were injured, including the 21-year-old car driver, who suffered a broken arm. A young woman in the car and the bus driver were seriously injured.
