A serious accident occurred on the morning of 8/8 at the intersection of Mink Street and Wampanoag Trail in East Providence, Rhode Island. A speeding Nissan Altima rear-ended a garbage truck stopped at a red light.

The driver, 21-year-old Ziondre Ogiba, and his 20-year-old female passenger, both from Providence, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The occupants of the garbage truck sustained minor injuries. Ogiba is now facing multiple charges.
