A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed and his 30-year-old son-in-law seriously injured on 4/6 in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, after their bike collided with a car door that suddenly opened.
Hukam Singh, 57, and his son-in-law, Pradeep Kumar, 30, were riding a motorcycle with one gas cylinder when the incident occurred. As they traveled along a road, the driver's side door of a Maruti Suzuki, parked on the roadside, abruptly swung open. Singh and Kumar had no time to react, and their motorcycle crashed into the door, throwing both men and the bike onto the road.
Witnesses reported that the car driver, after exiting his vehicle, did not immediately rush to assist the accident victims. He remained stationary at the scene, showing no urgency, while another individual helped close the car door.
Singh and his son-in-law were transported to a local hospital. Doctors confirmed that Singh had died from his injuries, while Kumar sustained severe injuries.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities stated that further legal action will be taken based on surveillance camera footage and other evidence gathered at the scene.
