The elevated sedan avoided floodwaters, while a van parked in front was submerged.
The post on X drew hundreds of comments. Many questioned the authenticity of the situation and how a car could be placed on such high brick stacks. Some even suspected the image was AI-generated.
However, a video surfaced on 4/10, revealing the process of elevating the car onto the four brick stacks, involving at least four men. The video showed a van parked in front of the sedan as it was raised, consistent with the earlier photos.
Also on 4/10, another individual shared a video demonstrating how they lifted a car onto four similar supports using a jack, providing an answer to the question, "How?".
Another person shared their experience using a similar method to save their car from a historic flood in Thailand in 2011. They used wooden blocks instead of bricks and stones, spending considerable time adjusting and balancing them.
Using bricks to protect a car from flooding should only be done in flat areas, away from strong flood currents. If the water flows strongly, its force or floating debris could dislodge both the brick stacks and the car.
