On the evening of 3/12, a 49-year-old Mercedes driver fainted due to diabetes while approaching a roundabout in Oradea, Romania. This caused his vehicle to launch into the air, soaring over two oncoming cars. The driver sustained several broken bones, none life-threatening, but miraculously, no other vehicles or individuals were involved in the collision.
Security camera footage shows the Mercedes speeding towards the roundabout with no signs of slowing down. The car then bounced, launching into the air, narrowly missing an oncoming bus and soaring over two cars behind it. The vehicle remained airborne for several seconds before crashing into a metal pole just a few meters from a gas station, sustaining heavy damage.
Authorities confirmed that the driver was trapped in the wreckage following the crash. Rescue workers promptly extricated him and transported him to the hospital. Despite the medical emergency, the driver was fined 365 USD for driving into the oncoming lane and had his driver's license suspended for 90 days.
