Car loses control, collides with motorbike

A car making a U-turn on a main road in southern Hanoi lost control and veered into a motorcyclist riding near the curb on the morning of 16/5.

The incident occurred on a main road in southern Hanoi. The vehicle was performing a U-turn at a section with a concrete median. While moving close to the left lane, the car suddenly swerved and the driver lost control, causing it to sharply veer right and collide directly with the motorbike. The extent of the victim's injuries is currently unknown.

This incident highlights the importance of careful driving, especially when performing maneuvers like U-turns. When steering, drivers should maintain a steady steering wheel and observe both sides carefully. Abrupt steering wheel turns or sudden acceleration can cause a vehicle to lose balance, particularly on slippery roads or when the front wheels are at a sharp turning angle.

Such incidents carry severe legal consequences. According to Decree 168 on road traffic penalties, drivers who fail to control their speed and steering, leading to traffic accidents, face fines of 20-22 million dong and a deduction of 10 points from their driver's license.
