The facelifted Honda City was recently spotted on Indian streets without any camouflage. These images offer a clear look at the Japanese automaker's new design direction for its strategic sedan model in 2026.
For this new version, the City 2026 adopts the automaker's latest global design language, similar to what has been applied to its elder sibling, the Accord, and the Prelude sports car. Overall, the new City boasts a sleeker and more angular appearance than the current model.

Changes are primarily focused on the front fascia. The LED headlight cluster has been redesigned, integrating daytime running lights, and is paired with a new grille featuring a layered horizontal honeycomb pattern. This grille extends and connects to the light clusters. A new front bumper includes sharper air vents and a more streamlined lower intake.
The side profile remains unchanged, though top variants will feature a new wheel design. The taillight cluster and rear bumper have also received minor refinements to synchronize with the overall aesthetic.
Inside, the City 2026 sees no changes, according to Motorbeam. However, the Japanese automaker is focusing on adding convenience features to enhance its competitiveness. According to Indian media, the City 2026 will include a 360-degree camera, an upgraded infotainment system, and enhanced smart connectivity features. Other amenities remain unchanged, preserving the practical experience that is a key strength of this model.
The City 2026 continues to use the same powertrain as the current version: a 1,5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of peak torque. Buyers will have the option of a manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). The safety system remains unchanged, featuring the adas honda sensing driver-assistance technology suite with multiple functions.
The launch of this facelifted version, with its focus on aesthetic and feature enhancements, demonstrates Honda's determination to maintain its market share in the B-segment sedan category amidst increasing pressure from competitors.
The City 2026 is expected to debut first in India on 22/5. Following this, Honda's B-segment sedan will be introduced in Southeast Asian markets.
