A container truck sped towards an intersection, ignoring a red light. The truck braked sharply, stopping just short of the pedestrian crossing, as several motorcycles were entering the intersection to turn left. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians crossing at the time, and the motorcyclists managed to stop in time, avoiding a collision.
Drivers approaching intersections should reduce their speed, especially when facing a red light. Running red lights is strictly prohibited, particularly for large vehicles that pose a significant risk of serious injury. Decree 168/2024 stipulates a fine of 18-20 million VND and a deduction of 4 points from the driver's license for running a red light.
