The couple, from Thai Nguyen, Shanxi province, were returning from a trip to Rizhao, Shandong province, on 26/7. The front left tire of a truck traveling in the same direction suddenly blew out, causing the truck to lose control, veer to the right, and crush the couple's car against the guardrail.
The smaller car was pinned and dragged along with the truck for about 20-30 meters before becoming wedged against the guardrail. The car was severely damaged, but both occupants escaped with only minor bruises.

The car driver recounted that even the traffic police were astonished when they arrived at the scene: "It's a miracle you're both alive". The man said the incident felt like a near-death experience. Upon returning to Shanxi, he and his girlfriend immediately registered their marriage on 29/7.
The accident also highlights the significant risks of driving near trucks. In this situation, the truck's tire blew out just as the car was approaching it. Therefore, when driving, especially at high speeds, it's safer for cars to maintain a greater distance from potential hazards such as trucks and large buses.
