According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) sales report, 215 D-segment sedans were sold in July, a slight 12.2% decrease compared to the 245 units sold in June.
The D-segment sedan market consists of only 4 models: Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Honda Accord, and Mazda Mazda6. The Mazda6 has not recorded any sales since May.
The segment leader, the Camry, saw a decline in sales. Toyota's D-segment sedan sold 223 units in June but dropped to 193 units in July, a 13.5% decrease. This signals weakening demand in the face of growing competition from SUVs.
The South Korean sedan, Kia K5, also saw a slight decrease in sales, from 20 units in June to 18 in July, a 10% drop. Despite its youthful design and numerous features, the K5 struggles to gain market share in the segment.

The Accord was the only model in the segment to experience growth. Honda's D-segment sedan saw sales rise from 2 units in June to 4 in July. Despite this increase, the sales volume remains very low, placing the Accord among the slowest-selling vehicles of the month.
Year-to-date, the Camry maintains its leading position with a significant lead over its competitors. Camry's cumulative sales from the beginning of 2025 to date are 1,356 units. The K5 holds the second spot with 136 units sold since the start of the year. The Mazda6 ranks third in the segment with 56 units, and finally, the Accord has sold only 21 units.
