Dealers accepting deposits for Geely Coolray 2026

The Coolray's mid-cycle refresh is expected to hit the market late may or next june.

Geely dealers are now accepting deposits of 10-20 million VND for the 2026 Coolray, offering priority for early deliveries. The vehicle will continue to be imported from Malaysia, similar to the current generation sold in Vietnam.

The Geely Coolray 2026 represents a significant mid-cycle refresh, featuring notable changes to its interior, exterior design, and engine. Dealers confirm that the new Coolray will retain the same number of variants as the outgoing model: Standard, Premium, and Flagship. Official pricing for the updated model has not yet been announced.

The Coolray's exterior receives a refreshed front end, highlighted by a completely redesigned grille. The LED headlights, along with the daytime running lights, have also been restyled. The rear of the vehicle has been refined with sharper angles, accentuated by a full-width LED strip that spans the tailgate.

The Chinese automaker has also upgraded the Coolray's interior. In Malaysia, a key export market for the Coolray to Vietnam, the B-segment CUV comes standard with a 14,6-inch touchscreen display. The steering wheel, gear selector, and functional buttons beneath the screen all feature new designs. The top-tier variant will also include wireless charging capabilities.

Under the hood, sales consultants indicate that the Geely Coolray will continue to use a 1,5-liter turbocharged engine. However, the updated version will feature a four-cylinder engine, replacing the three-cylinder unit found in the previous model. The new engine produces 181 hp at 5,500 rpm and 290 Nm of torque between 2,000-3,500 rpm. This is an increase from the previous engine's 177 hp and 255 Nm.

The updated Coolray retains the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Power is delivered to the front wheels.

Specific features and equipment for the 2026 Coolray destined for the Vietnamese market are yet to be confirmed. The current generation Geely Coolray is distributed by Tasco with prices ranging from 538-628 million VND. Its main competitors include the Mitsubishi Xforce (599-705 million VND), Toyota Yaris Cross (650-728 million VND), and Hyundai Creta (599-715 million VND).
