While summer often sees families embarking on long-distance road trips to explore new destinations, concerns about electric vehicle range and potential breakdowns can deter some from choosing EVs.
Le Thanh Hung, 42, from Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, acknowledges this common apprehension among new car owners, particularly those considering electric vehicles. "When I switched to a VinFast VF 8, I thoroughly researched the brand's support policies and found their service center network covers every province and city nationwide," he stated. "Before any long trip with my family, I simply check the route and convenient charging locations, allowing us to combine charging with rest stops."

VinFast currently operates an extensive network of over 400 authorized service centers. These facilities, located in major cities and expanding into numerous localities, provide support for car owners encountering issues during long-distance travel. Each service center offers multiple repair bays, vehicle lifts, indoor parking, and integrated charging stations within showrooms. The company also standardizes its after-sales service across the nation, ensuring consistent quality.
Hung, who frequently uses his VF 8 for weekend family trips, confirms that owners can readily locate charging stations at most stops along their journeys. The Vietnamese automaker boasts an ecosystem of over 150,000 charging ports nationwide. These are strategically placed in urban areas, commercial centers, parking lots, hotels, rest stops, and along many inter-provincial routes.

"VinFast's charging infrastructure extends to areas near the border; on one cross-Vietnam trip, my family even found two 60 kW and one 120 kW charging poles near Lo Xo Pass in Quang Ngai province, which was incredibly convenient for long-distance travel," Hung recounted. He added that this broad coverage has encouraged many EV owners to adapt their travel habits, selecting stops where they can combine meals with battery charging.

In the near future, VinFast is completing the infrastructure for 99 super-fast charging stations. These will be strategically located along national highways, allowing owners to quickly recharge their vehicles. The combination of over 400 service centers, more than 150,000 charging ports, and continuous infrastructure expansion makes electric vehicles a preferred choice for Vietnamese consumers, reflected in their significant share of monthly new car sales.
