The incident occurred on Le Duan street in Pleiku ward, where an oto unexpectedly swerved right, colliding with a moto traveling in the same direction. The impact caused two people on the moto to fall to the road, and the moto then crashed into the side of the oto. The oto driver did not stop but left the scene. The extent of injuries is currently unknown.

Prior to the accident, the oto had repeatedly driven very close to other motos, despite the road being relatively empty, indicating a lack of control and awareness.

Drivers must maintain control of their speed and steering, stay in their lane, and remain alert while driving. In the event of an incident, drivers are required to stop, preserve the scene, and assist victims as mandated by law. According to Decree 168/2024 on traffic violation penalties, an oto driver causing an accident due to lack of observation faces a fine of 20-22 million dong and a deduction of 10 points from their driver's license. Fleeing the scene after causing an accident incurs a fine of 16-18 million dong and a deduction of 6 points.
