As the officer approached the Ferrari, he said to the driver, "I'm sure you know why I pulled you over,". "What did I do?", the driver asked. "You were speeding," the officer replied.
When the driver denied speeding, the officer showed him the radar data. The driver's tone immediately changed upon seeing the speed recorded, and he pleaded with the officer, explaining it was his birthday.
However, the officer remained firm, upholding the law and impounding the Ferrari. The driver then called his parents for a ride.
In an August 6 social media post, York Regional Police stated: "Do you think this guy's parents still let him have cake and presents? This driver learned an expensive lesson. There's no excuse for reckless driving, even on your birthday".
