Information about the updated Geely EX5 has emerged during its registration process in China, with spy shots revealing a spacious front trunk. In its domestic market, this all-electric crossover is also known as the Geely Galaxy E5.

The exterior of the 2026 EX5 has few changes compared to the old version.

The EX5 has an overall length of 4,636 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

This crossover measures 4,636 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase. A notable feature is its spacious 160-liter front trunk, which has an electrically controlled hood and can carry a maximum load of 50 kg. The 2026 EX5 rides on 19-inch wheels, and its charging port is located on the rear fender on the driver's side.

Inside, the EX5's dashboard features a floating touchscreen, an LCD instrument cluster, and a head-up display. The gear selector is conveniently placed behind the D-shaped steering wheel. The center console offers a wireless phone charging pad, a shift knob, and physical buttons. Other premium amenities include the Flyme Sound system, a rear armrest, and a large panoramic sunroof. For advanced driving, the 2026 EX5 integrates the G-ASD G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system, which supports Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) functions for both urban and highway driving.

According to CarNewsChina, the new Geely EX5 is powered by a rear-axle electric motor that delivers 329 horsepower, a significant increase of 114 horsepower over its predecessor. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the standard battery version offers a 61,5 kWh capacity, providing a 550 km operating range. The top-tier 2026 EX5 boasts a 70 kWh battery pack, extending its operating range to 635 km. This represents a substantial improvement over the current model's 430-475 km range.

The new Geely EX5 is scheduled for its official launch in the Chinese market on 23/9. Despite the upcoming launch, sales data from China EV DataTracker shows that Geely EX5 sales from January to August 2026 reached 40,776 units, marking a decrease of 45,9% compared to the same period last year.
