Highlights from the Lynk & Co 02 launch event in Vietnam

The launch of Lynk & Co’s first pure electric vehicle made a significant impression, marked by its unique character, various experiential activities, a fashion show, and special sales policies with gifts from the brand.

The Lynk & Co 02 is developed on the intelligent electrified SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. This platform is also used in over 18 models from brands such as Volvo, Smart, Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co.

On 12/8, Lynk & Co officially introduced its first pure electric vehicle line, the Lynk & Co 02, to the Vietnamese market. The launch took place through the "Spark Your Signature" event at Tasco Mall Long Bien in Viet Hung ward, Ha Noi.

With the Lynk & Co 02, the brand conveys the message "Feel the Charisma", aiming to appeal to young urban consumers who appreciate distinctive style and the agile mobility offered by a pure electric car.

The e-SUV is equipped with ergonomically designed Comfort seats, constructed from eight layers of slow-rebound material. According to the brand, this design evenly distributes pressure from the back, shoulders, neck, and head, promising comfort for users on long journeys.

The Lynk & Co 02 models showcased at the event featured unique custom decals designed by the brand. These decals highlighted the vehicle's sporty character and its flexible urban driving capabilities.

The introduction of the Lynk & Co 02, a pure electric vehicle, completes Lynk & Co's diverse product range in Vietnam, reinforcing its "New Premium" positioning. Previously, the company offered pure gasoline (ICE), mild-hybrid, and plug-in EM-P Super Hybrid models.

The 02 features Lynk & Co’s signature coupe-style design, characterized by a roofline that slopes sharply towards the rear. The vehicle incorporates many rounded elements, with exterior highlights including the Dynamic Day Rays LED identification strip. This light cluster integrates positioning lights, daytime running lights, and turn signals.

The Lynk & Co 02 measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm. These dimensions place the 02's wheelbase on par with C-segment vehicles like the Hyundai Tucson and BYD Sealion 6, while its overall length and width are comparable to B+ segment cars such as the Toyota Corolla Cross or BYD Atto 3.

The interior of the Lynk & Co 02 adopts a minimalist style, aiming for a premium experience similar to the 08 or Lynk & Co 900 models. The brand minimized physical buttons, with a 15,4-inch central infotainment screen boasting a 2,5K resolution, serving as the control hub for most vehicle functions. High-end versions feature a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with 1,600 W of power and surround sound technology.

A highlight of the Lynk & Co 02 launch event, held on the evening of the same day, was a vibrant and youthful street-style fashion show. This collaboration with fashion brand Cao Stu captivated guests. The street-style aesthetic was also recreated on the stage for the 02 pure electric vehicle launch, offering a novel experience for attendees.

According to Lynk & Co, the fashion collection drew inspiration from the "More than a car" philosophy, emphasizing aesthetics, quality, and personal expression. The outfits showcased were custom-designed for Lynk & Co at the event.

"From the color palette and lines to the contemporary spirit, each design targets a generation of customers who view their clothing or chosen car as an expression of their personality, mindset, and unique style", a brand representative stated. "This similarity creates a convergence in the design language of Lynk & Co and Cao Stu: modern, minimalist, yet rich in character."

The Lynk & Co 02 is equipped with a rear-axle electric motor, delivering 268 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5,5 seconds and has a top speed limited to 180 km/h. Its 66 kWh battery provides a range of 435 km on a full charge. The battery supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in 30 minutes, while AC charging is available at up to 11 kW. Additionally, the vehicle features V2L functionality with a power output of 3,3 kW.

As part of its strategy to develop electrified and plug-in hybrid vehicle lines, Lynk & Co Vietnam aims to achieve 100% charging station coverage across showrooms and facilities within the Tasco Auto ecosystem nationwide. In the first half of this year, Tasco Auto and its partners operated 35 DC charging stations nationwide, and the Esky charging station system also operated 35 charging stations nationwide, including 23 DC and 12 AC stations.

The first customers in Vietnam received their Lynk & Co 02 pure electric vehicles at the event.

The Lynk & Co 02 enters the Vietnamese market amid rapid growth in pure electric vehicles over the past two years. Experts anticipate this Premium e-SUV Sporty model will carve out a unique identity in its segment, thanks to its European design and chassis platform, targeting young customers who value technology and fashion, and frequently drive in the city.

The Lynk & Co 02 is available in two versions: the Pro, priced at 818 million VND, and the Halo, priced at 898 million VND. For the first 100 pioneering customers who order the car, the company offers a complimentary 3,5 kW portable charger; a 7 kW wall charger (valued at 5 million VND); a free maintenance package for six years or 120,000 km; a six-year VETC RSA roadside assistance package; and one year of Tasco comprehensive insurance (valued at 9 million VND).
