Honda CBR500R Four: A 4-cylinder sportbike priced at 295 million dong

This mid-range sportbike, featuring an angular design, is a private import with a 500cc engine producing 71 horsepower.

The Honda CBR500R Four features an angular, aggressive design in every detail, aimed at a young demographic. It is available in Vietnam in three color options: red, silver, and matte black.

The Honda CBR500R Four, a 4-cylinder sportbike, is now available in Vietnam through private importers, with a price tag of 295 million dong, excluding on-road costs. This model is a compelling alternative in the 4-cylinder segment, competing with officially sold models such as the Kawasaki ZX-4RR (229 million dong) and the Thailand-imported Honda CBR650R (265 million dong).

Originally developed by the Wuyang-Honda joint venture specifically for the Chinese market, the CBR500R Four arrives in Vietnam via a private company in TP HCM. It shares its chassis and many features with the CB500 Super Four, a model also sold in Vietnam at a price 10 million dong lower. The sportbike is built on a diamond-shaped steel frame and has a wet weight of approximately 190 kg.

The bike is equipped with a 17-inch front tire, dual disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Nissin provides the 4-piston radial brake calipers.

KYB upside-down (USD) front forks are installed. The bike's rake angle is approximately 24,5 degrees.

LED headlights are standard on the CBR500R Four, complemented by angular fairings and V-shaped daytime running lights. Decorative gold accents on the bike, along with the word "Four", prominently highlight its 4-cylinder engine. This distinguishes it from the 500cc CBR500R sold in China, which has a 2-cylinder engine and less power.

Compared to the nakedbike version, the CBR500R has a lower and shorter handlebar, promoting the forward-leaning riding posture characteristic of sportbikes. The 5-inch TFT display allows phone connectivity and adjustment (via a button on the left grip) of three riding modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain, along with two customizable modes for users.

The 14-liter fuel tank on the CBR500R Four is more angular than that of the CB500 Super Four.

The CBR500R Four features a two-tiered, split seat. The rider's seat height is 790 mm.

The LED taillight has a 3D triangular design. The bike's tail is sharp and points upward like an arrow.

The rear wheel also uses a 17-inch cast rim. It has a single disc brake with ABS and a rear monoshock absorber.

The Honda CBR500R Four is powered by a DOHC, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 71 horsepower and 47 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, an e-clutch electronic clutch, electronic throttle, a traction control system, and an assist and slipper clutch.
