Honda, the Japanese automobile manufacturer, has adjusted the suggested retail price for the standard HR-V G variant in the Vietnamese market. The HR-V G's price has been reduced from 699 million VND to 669 million VND, representing a 30 million VND decrease. This amount does not include the additional 8 million VND for white or red color options.
This adjusted price of 669 million VND positions the HR-V G more competitively against rivals in its segment, such as the Mitsubishi Xforce Luxury at 665 million VND, the Toyota Yaris Cross V at 650 million VND, and the Hyundai Creta Dac biet at 659 million VND.
The Yaris Cross, Xforce, and Creta are also significant sales competitors to the HR-V within this segment. Since the beginning of 2026, Toyota's model has sold the most vehicles with 6,940 units, followed by Mitsubishi's model with 5,204 units, and Hyundai's model with a total of 3,884 units. In contrast, the HR-V has only delivered 2,052 units year-to-date in 2026.

The HR-V G variant is powered by a 1,5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of peak torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Unlike the two higher-end versions, which use either the same 1,5-liter petrol engine or a hybrid powertrain, the G variant targets customers seeking optimized urban running costs while retaining the honda sensing active safety technology package as standard equipment.
In addition to the G variant, the HR-V's L and e:HEV RS variants are priced at 750 million VND and 835 million VND, respectively. This compares to rivals like the Yaris Cross (650-728 million VND), Xforce (605-720 million VND), and Creta (599-715 million VND).
This price adjustment reflects significant sales pressure within the petrol-powered B-CUV segment, where the Toyota Yaris Cross has consistently topped sales charts for several months. By setting the actual selling price at 669 million VND, Honda Vietnam aims to enhance accessibility for individual and small family customers who prioritize durability, safety features, and imported vehicle origin.
