In December, Honda ICON e: electric motorbikes are seeing significant price reductions at dealerships. Discounts start at 5 million dong, with some locations offering up to 7-8 million dong depending on the color. This marks the deepest price cut for the model since its debut in Vietnam in April, when it was priced between 26,9 and 27,3 million dong. The listed price does not include the battery, which customers must rent for an additional 350,000 dong per month.
After the discount, the ICON e: is priced at 20-21 million dong, placing it competitively with models such as the VinFast Evo Grand (21 million dong) and Yadea Oris (23 million dong). However, purchasing a battery for the ICON e: adds approximately 10 million dong to its cost. In contrast, both the Evo Grand and Oris include the battery in their initial purchase price.

In terms of performance, the ICON e: and Oris both offer a top speed of 50 km/h, while the Evo Grand reaches 70 km/h. The ICON e: provides a range of 70 km on a single charge. The Oris extends this to 90 km, and the Evo Grand offers 134 km. The Evo Grand also has the option for an auxiliary battery, increasing its range to 260 km.
This substantial price cut reflects Honda's strategy amidst an increasingly competitive electric motorbike market. Six months after its launch, the ICON e:, despite its acclaimed build quality and stable performance, has contended with higher ownership costs compared to rivals with similar motor and battery specifications. Dealerships initiating these deep discounts before Tet aims to boost demand and enhance the ICON e:'s market visibility ahead of new electric model introductions in 2026.
Honda introduced the ICON e: in 2025 as its first electric motorbike manufactured in Vietnam, assembled at the Vinh Phuc factory. Designed for urban commuters, the vehicle is compact, weighing 89 kg, with a seat height of 742 mm. The ICON e: features a 1,5 kW rear-wheel motor, meeting electric vehicle standards that do not require a driver's license.
The ICON e: is equipped with a 30,6 Ah lithium-ion battery, boasting an ip67 waterproof rating for operation in rainy conditions. This battery is also removable for convenient home charging. Additional features include an led lighting system, an lcd instrument panel, a 26-liter storage compartment, and cbs brakes. Honda positions the ICON e: as an economical choice for short urban commutes.
