Honda WN7 - electric motorcycle challenges Harley-Davidson LiveWire

The pure electric nakedbike model features a 9,3 kWh battery, 130 km range, 67 horsepower electric motor, and is priced at 16,900 USD.

Honda's WN7 electric nakedbike, officially unveiled in 9/2025, is set to go on sale in the European market in 6/2026. This new model does not replace any of the company's existing gasoline-powered motorcycles and enters the market with a starting price of 16,900 USD, positioning it to compete directly with Harley-Davidson's LiveWire One.

The WN7 is the commercial version of the EV Fun concept, featuring a classic design style highlighted by stacked square LED headlights. Its nakedbike styling is distinctive, with a large battery pack integrated into the frame, distinguishing it from conventional gasoline motorcycles and giving it an aggressive look. The single-sided swingarm is reminiscent of Ducati's design, adding to its premium aesthetic.

The Japanese automaker equips the WN7 with a 9,3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and one electric motor, producing 67 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. Despite the vehicle's 217 kg weight, which is relatively heavy for its size, the instantaneous torque from the electric motor promises strong acceleration and a dynamic riding experience. The WN7 has a range of 130 km per full charge.

The WN7's powertrain integrates modern features such as configurable regenerative braking, designed to optimize energy recovery and reduce stress on the mechanical system. Additionally, the WN7 includes a "walking speed mode" to assist riders when parking, enhancing maneuverability at low speeds.

In comparison, the LiveWire One is equipped with a 10,5 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 195 km in city conditions and 117 km on the highway. Harley-Davidson's electric motorcycle features an electric motor producing 84 horsepower and 263 Nm of torque, showcasing its performance capabilities against the WN7.

The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle was previously introduced in Vietnam at a company event earlier in 2026, giving local enthusiasts an early glimpse of Honda's foray into the electric nakedbike segment.
