Beijing Hyundai aims to introduce three electric vehicles over the next three years, priced between 14,000 and 42,000 USD.
The EO's design features distinctive daytime running lights inspired by crystals and incorporating the number 8. The vehicle measures 4,615 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height. Compared to the Elexio, the EO has a shorter front overhang and an extended wheelbase of 2,750 mm. It also sports 20-inch wheels.
According to registration information, the EO will be available in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The FWD version boasts a 214-horsepower electric motor, while the AWD version adds a 97-horsepower motor, bringing the total output to 312 horsepower. Both versions have a top speed of 185 km/h. The EO utilizes LFP batteries supplied by FinDreams, a BYD subsidiary, providing a range of about 700 km. It is also equipped with "Haomo.ai" L2+ autonomous driving assistance capabilities.
The EO will be Beijing Hyundai's first electric vehicle for the Chinese market. However, CarNewsChina predicts that the EO may face challenges standing out in China's competitive new energy vehicle market.
