Ice block falls from three-wheeled cart onto the road

A large block of ice fell from a three-wheeled cart onto Phan Dinh Giot Street in Binh Duong on 5/8, obstructing traffic.

Video: Luong Minh

A three-wheeled cart made a quick turn, causing a large block of ice and a blue bag to fall onto the road. Fortunately, no other vehicles were nearby at the time. However, the ice block obstructed traffic flow. The cart, already a safety risk due to its size and lack of safety equipment, was carrying several large ice blocks that appeared unsecured.

The incident highlights the dangers of unsecured loads. Falling ice blocks pose a significant risk to other road users. Loads should be secured to prevent accidents and traffic disruptions. Numerous accidents have occurred due to falling debris.

Decree 168/2024 stipulates a fine of 2 to 4 million VND for transporting materials without proper covering or allowing them to spill onto the road.
