The Jaecoo J6 features 19-inch, 5-spoke wheels and ventilated disc brakes. It boasts a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. |
Following the C-segment CUV J7's debut earlier in 2025, Omada & Jaecoo Vietnam introduces the B+ segment electric vehicle, the J6. The vehicle is currently on display at Ho Guom walking street, but has not yet been officially launched.
Developed from the Chery iCar 03, a model exclusive to the Chinese market, the globally-targeted J6 doesn't deviate significantly from its predecessor.

The interior offers a spacious, minimalist cabin with a masculine, boxy dashboard. A prominent 15.6-inch central touchscreen controls all vehicle functions, including climate control, windows, and safety features. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with English voice commands. A dual-zone automatic climate control system with PM2.5 filtration is included. |
Sharing the J7's boxy silhouette, the J6 embraces a more pronounced off-road aesthetic, reminiscent of legendary off-roaders like the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G63, and Suzuki Jimny. The front features a closed grille, LED headlights, and distinctive vertical daytime running lights with angular accents.
Furthermore, the front bumper incorporates two fog lights with stylized silver accents, differentiating it from models destined for other markets. As this is merely a preview model, minor differences may exist compared to the officially launched version.

The center console is minimalist, featuring a crystal-shaped drive mode selector, wireless charging pad, and cupholders. The vehicle offers six driving modes: Standard, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, and Sand. |
The J6 measures 4,342 mm in length, 1,926 mm in width, and 1,741 mm in height, with a 2,715 mm wheelbase. Compared to B+/C- segment competitors like the Toyota Corolla Cross (4,460 x 1,825 x 1,620 mm) and BYD Atto 3 (4,455 x 1,875 x 1,615 mm), the J6 is shorter but wider and taller, with a comparable wheelbase, even similar to some C-segment CUVs.
Sharp lines define the body, with flared wheel arches adding to its robust appearance. Hidden door handles enhance aerodynamics and create a seamless profile. The roof features a gloss black finish, contrasting with the body's main color and the matte plastic lower cladding.

The J6 boasts a panoramic sunroof. The seats are upholstered in brown synthetic leather. The driver's seat offers 6-way power adjustment, while the passenger seat has 4-way power adjustment. |
The rear showcases vertical taillights echoing the headlight design and a horizontally opening tailgate. Unlike international versions, this model lacks a small storage compartment at the rear.
Instead of a traditional body-on-frame construction typical of off-road vehicles, the J6 utilizes a unibody aluminum frame. A 195 mm ground clearance allows for off-road capability without compromising the battery.

The rear seats are spacious, with a significant recline angle and a flat floor accommodating three adults. Rear passengers have access to air vents and two USB charging ports (Type-A and Type-C). A 12-speaker Infinity sound system provides audio entertainment. |

Behind the steering wheel, a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster displays key information. The three-spoke steering wheel integrates volume and temperature controls, along with a hands-free calling button. Similar to Mercedes models, the gear selector is stalk-mounted.
Beyond standard safety features like ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, hill descent control, front/rear sensors, and six airbags, the Jaecoo J6 boasts an ADAS suite. This includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warnings, front vehicle departure warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, blind spot monitoring, door opening warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a 540-degree camera (a 360-degree camera with a simulated undercarriage view).

Under the hood, a plastic cover conceals the motor compartment. The AWD version of the Jaecoo J6 utilizes two electric motors, one on each axle, generating 275 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 km/h.
Equipped with a 69.77 kWh battery pack, the J6 achieves a WLTC range of 364 km, averaging over 19 kWh/100 km. The battery supports 80 kW fast charging, reaching 80% capacity from 30% in 30 minutes. Slow charging takes 12.5 hours. Specifications for the RWD version have not yet been disclosed.
According to an Omada & Jaecoo Vietnam sales representative, the J6 will launch at the end of September this year, initially offering only the AWD version. The RWD version's launch date remains undetermined. The price is expected to be around 900 million VND, while the J7 ranges from 799 to 999 million VND.
In May, Geleximco (the joint venture distributing Omoda and Jaecoo in Vietnam) broke ground on a factory in Thai Binh, which could begin assembling vehicles as early as 2026.
