In May, Thaco, the distributor of Kia, is running promotions across all Sportage versions to boost sales. This model currently no longer offers the Deluxe and Luxury versions, focusing instead on three higher-tier variants from Premium to Signature.

The Kia Sportage's significant promotion comes as competitors in the C-segment CUV market are also racing to cut prices. For instance, the Mitsubishi Destinator is selling for 745-820 million VND, which is 35 million VND lower than its suggested retail price. The Hyundai Tucson also sees discounts of 30-50 million VND, depending on the version. Ford Territory dealers are offering reductions of 10-15 million VND.

In 2025, the Sportage was among the slowest-selling models in its segment, alongside the Outlander, which reached its end-of-life cycle and ceased deliveries for most of that year. The Kia model features a distinctive design and numerous amenities, including a panoramic curved display, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, Bose speakers, and remote start.
The C-segment gasoline CUV market faces fierce price competition. These new prices provide the Kia Sportage with a stronger competitive advantage in a segment crowded with rivals.
