South Korean automaker Kia has introduced the Syros EV to the Indian market. This marks Kia's second electric vehicle produced in the country. The new high-riding electric vehicle is available with two battery pack options and is priced from 14,000 USD.
The Syros EV will be available in the Indian market from late July, offered across seven variants with prices reaching up to 20,700 USD.
The Syros EV is offered with two battery pack choices: 42 kWh and 51,4 kWh. The larger 51,4 kWh battery delivers a range of 526 km, making the Kia Syros EV the first electric vehicle in its segment to achieve a range exceeding 500 km on a single charge. The smaller 42 kWh option provides a range of 443 km, according to Kia.

Powering the Syros EV is one electric motor, producing 169 horsepower. The version with the larger battery accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8,1 seconds. For charging, the battery supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in 39 minutes. Additionally, the Syros EV comes with a 10,8 kW onboard AC charger, a regenerative braking system with i-pedal mode, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, and a battery heating and cooling system.
Inside, the Syros EV boasts a 30-inch Trinity display setup. This includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, complemented by a 5-inch climate control screen. Connectivity features include wireless apple carplay and android auto, as well as Kia Connect with over 95 connected functionalities. Additional amenities comprise a Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, ambient interior lighting, and wireless phone charging.
Safety is a priority, with the Syros EV featuring a level 2 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) that incorporates 16 functions. It is also equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, tire pressure monitoring, rear occupant alert, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
