Honda launches QC3 electric scooter

The new electric scooter model targets families, features a 3 kWh battery, a 145 km operating range, and a spacious 32-liter trunk.

On 24/7, Honda unveiled the QC3 electric scooter for the Indian market. This launch was part of an event introducing 10 two-wheeler models, with the QC3 being the sole electric offering among 9 internal combustion engine models.

The QC3 is positioned as a family-oriented electric scooter, designed for practical performance and daily commuting. It features an in-hub electric motor mounted on the rear wheel, offering a 145 km operating range from its 3 kWh battery per full charge.

The overall design of the QC3 shares many lines with the Honda CUV e:.

The 3 kWh battery enables a 145 km operating range per full charge. Charging the battery from 0% to 80% takes approximately 2 hours 40 minutes, with a complete charge requiring 4 hours.

The QC3 incorporates several modern features for enhanced convenience. These include a TFT digital instrument panel with integrated Honda RoadSync system for turn-by-turn navigation, and a Honda Smart Key system. For illumination, the scooter is equipped with a full LED lighting system, including a prominent LED headlight cluster with horizontal daytime running lights.

Practicality is a key focus, evident in the 32-liter under-seat storage, capable of accommodating a helmet and other personal items. The suspension system comprises telescopic front forks with hydraulic damping and dual spring rear shocks, also with hydraulic damping. Braking is handled by a single disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear.

While the QC3 electric scooter is manufactured in India, Honda has not yet announced its official price or market release date.

Notably, the QC3's name is similar to the Honda UC3 available in Vietnam. However, their designs differ: the QC3's styling aligns closely with the Honda CUV e:, featuring more angular lines, while the UC3 presents a softer aesthetic with more curves.
