Along with the 0-400-0 km/h record, the Swedish hypercar manufacturer also set a new 0-400 km/h acceleration record of 16.77 seconds, solidifying the Absolut's position as the world's fastest production car.
Koenigsegg attributes the new record to "new software strategies and improvements" on the Jesko Absolut. These upgrades include refinements to the Light Speed Transmission (LST), a 9-speed, multi-clutch gearbox capable of shifting in milliseconds. Engineers also adjusted the engine management system, including a new torque control system for improved low-end power and initial acceleration.
The 5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine remains unchanged, producing 1,500 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque on E85 fuel, propelling the car from 0 to 400 km/h in 16.77 seconds. The carbon ceramic brakes contribute significantly, bringing the Jesko back to 0 km/h in 8.44 seconds. These records were verified on-site by Racelogic officials.
Racelogic, based in the UK, designs and manufactures electronic systems for measuring, recording, displaying, analyzing, and simulating data from moving vehicles.

Koenigsegg’s new record marks the latest chapter in the speed battle between the Swedish brand and Croatian brand, Rimac. The 0-400-0 km/h battle began with the Koenigsegg Agera RS's 33.29-second run in Nevada in 11/2017. Koenigsegg later lowered this to 31.49 seconds with the Regera in 9/2019. Rimac joined the fray with the Nevera R, achieving 29.92 seconds at the ATP Papenburg test track in Germany.
Most recently, in 6/2024, the Jesko Absolut, driven by Lindh, achieved 27.83 seconds, but Rimac quickly reclaimed the title in 7/2025 with a 25.79-second run. Now, with minor software adjustments, the Jesko has surpassed the Rimac Nevera by 0.58 seconds.
Koenigsegg highlighted the achievement of a rear-wheel-drive, internal combustion engine hypercar beating an all-wheel-drive electric vehicle with immense torque. The company hinted that its 2,300 horsepower electric Gemera would be the Nevera R's competitor. However, software changes alone have propelled the Jesko Absolut to the top.
Rimac CEO, Mate Rimac, commented, "I thought the Nevera R's record would stand for longer. The Nevera R is a spaceship with incredible acceleration. But I guess the game continues,".
