Suddenly, a long log fell from the truck, surprising the driver of the trailing car equipped with a dashcam. Fortunately, the driver reacted quickly and avoided the log. The truck driver, unaware of the incident, continued driving.

Vehicles carrying bulky materials should be secured to prevent items from falling onto the road and potentially causing accidents. This is particularly critical on highways where vehicles travel at high speeds, making it more difficult to react to unexpected events like this one.

Decree 168/2024 states that drivers are responsible for ensuring their cargo is securely covered and does not fall onto the road. The penalty for dropping materials on a highway is 2-4 million VND. In addition to the fine, the offender may be required to clean up the spilled material to prevent hazards for other vehicles.
