At the event, the company's technical experts shared and guided participants on essential skills, including pre-rainy season car care and driving techniques for flooded roads.

Understanding your car on flooded roads

A key topic at the workshop was driving on flooded roads, a common situation in urban areas during heavy rainfall. According to a Lynk & Co Vietnam expert, drivers need to actively observe and assess the actual conditions before deciding to enter a flooded area.

"A vehicle's ability to navigate flooded roads does not mean it can overcome every situation, as water levels, currents, and actual road conditions can vary", a Lynk & Co technical expert stated.

According to the expert, instead of attempting to cross, drivers should recognize their vehicle's limits and choose an appropriate course of action. Understanding car specifications is also essential knowledge for owners, especially new drivers, as flood damage can lead to costly repairs.

Beyond identifying and driving skills, the discussion also covered vehicle care before and after the rainy season. This factor helps reduce the risk of incidents when operating a car in adverse weather conditions.

Key items to check during the rainy season

During the "Cham xe chu dao - An tam mua bao" program, Lynk & Co experts focused on inspecting five categories: wiper blades, tires, braking system, undercarriage shield, and air conditioning system. These components are either directly affected or play a crucial role when the car frequently operates in rain, wet roads, and flooded conditions.

Wiper blades directly impact driver visibility. After a period of use, wiper rubber can harden or degrade, reducing its ability to clear the windshield, which is particularly noticeable when driving in heavy rain.

Tires and the braking system are two other items requiring attention. On wet roads, traction changes compared to dry conditions. Therefore, tire condition, wear, and the braking system directly affect vehicle control.

Beneath the car, the undercarriage shield is regularly exposed to water, mud, and road debris. Meanwhile, the air conditioning system not only regulates cabin temperature but also helps manage foggy windows, which often occur when temperature and humidity differences increase during rainy days.
